Conrad C140 CO.ONE – Construction Update

Gdańsk, Poland — Conrad Shipyard reports steady progress on the construction of the CO.ONE 140, its flagship flybridge sailing yacht and the first model of a new semi-custom sailing range.
Construction activities are advancing in line with the project schedule. The aluminium hull is currently under build, with two out of four structural blocks completed. In parallel, the yacht’s superstructure is under construction by a specialised subcontractor in southern Poland. One of the key upcoming milestones will be the joining of the hull and superstructure, planned for April 2025.

At the same time, the shipyard has commenced prefabrication works for the crew-area outfitting, ensuring a smooth transition into subsequent build phases. The guest areas and interior layout are now in the final stage of coordination between the designer and the owner, guaranteeing bespoke solutions fully aligned with the owner’s expectations.
The CO.ONE 140 has been conceived as a new-generation world cruiser that combines advanced sailing performance with superyacht-level comfort. The exterior design, hull lines, styling, and interior concept were created by renowned yacht designer Frank Neubelt, founder of FNYD, in collaboration with his superyacht project agency German Yacht Couture. Frank Neubelt maintains a long-standing creative partnership with Conrad Shipyard, reflected in the yacht’s distinctive “big boat” sailing concept and refined, performance-driven aesthetics. Naval architecture and engineering were developed together with Deltamarin, translating the design vision into a technically advanced and efficient sailing platform.

Sustainability is a core pillar of the CO.ONE 140 project. The yacht features a lightweight hybrid aluminium hull combined with a carbon fibre superstructure, optimised for strength, weight efficiency, and long-range performance under RINA classification. Advanced hybrid propulsion solutions allow the yacht to operate in low-emission and silent modes, supported by high-capacity battery systems and intelligent energy management. Energy regeneration while sailing further reduces fuel consumption, while the optimised sail plan minimises engine use and emissions during long-distance cruising.

“The CO.ONE 140 represents Conrad Shipyard’s strategic expansion into the sailing segment and a return to the shipyard’s roots and long-standing experience in sailing yacht construction. Following the recent international successes, award-winning projects, and the expansion of our motor yacht portfolio, we are proud to undertake such a complex project. The CO.ONE 140 sets a new benchmark for flybridge sailing yachts in its size category and is designed for owners who value autonomy, performance, and responsible luxury. Through this project, we demonstrate Conrad Shipyard’s capability to deliver the most advanced yacht constructions, both sailing and motor.” — Marcin Czarniawski, Project Manager & Sailing Superyacht Expert, Conrad Shipyard
