Success: Conrad C133 delivered to owner and christened “Viatoris”
In behalf of Conrad Shipyard it is with great pride and joy that we hereby announce that our latest project the Conrad C133 has been successfully delivered to the owner and was christened VIATORIS (Latin for traveller). M/Y VIATORIS is the result of over 15 years of hard work, a dedication to quality, and our commitment to exceeding our clients’ expectations. It is a testament to how far we have come as a shipyard and where we can be in the future.
With final preparations under way, Viatoris is expected to leave June 20th for its maiden voyage to explore the fjords of Norway after which she will come back to the shipyard for regular maintenance and check-ups. Finally, she will slowly make her way to the Mediterranean, on the way looking to explore Northern Europe to stop in cities like Hamburg and London, to eventually arrive at her final destination in Croatia.
To celebrate this special occasion we hosted a series of intimate events over the weekend with family and friends for a sneak preview of Viatoris. Guests included Andrew Langton of Reymond Langton Design responsible for the exterior, the Diana Yacht Design team responsible for naval architecture, honorary guests like Frank Neubelt, representatives from Ocean Independence and Fraser, as well as media from Europe, Russia, and the Middle East.
The celebrations started with an intimate dinner the evening of Friday June 8thin the heart of the Old Town of Gdansk at Kubicki, one of the oldest restaurants in town. With a spectacular view of the Old Town guests were treated to local delicacies, followed by walkthrough of Viatoris docked in evening lights right in front. Saturday guests had the special opportunity to partake in sea trials. The almost three hour trips started in the Old Town of Gdansk leading through a series of channels passing the Gdansk Shipyard to finally explore the spectacular views of the Gdansk Bay. In the evening guests joined members of the marketing team to enjoy dinner at the beach of neighboring seaside resort city Sopot.
The weekend came to its conclusion Sunday for the official christening of Viatoris. As it has become custom for Conrad Shipyard all employees are invited to enjoy the fruits of their hard labor with their family members. As a sign of gratitude all employees and family members were allowed to go on board and tour the yacht.
Finally, Conrad Shipyard is proud to announce that Viatoris will be premiered at this year’s yacht shows in Cannes and Monaco. With this project we hope to show that Poland and in particular Conrad has the potential to become a serious player in the superyachting industry. Viatoris shall serve as a benchmark on how far we have come and give a glimpse of where we can go in the future.
