Originally built in 1920, Talisman 1920 was not only the first yacht built out of steel by Abeking & Rasmussen, but she is also the oldest yacht constructed by the shipyard still sailing today. Honored to be chosen for this project, it was a fascinating experience to breathe new life into this magnificent yacht and put the Conrad name on a piece of yachting history. In need of a major overhaul, the hull received new insulation, and all possible mechanical and electrical systems were rebuilt, replaced, and modernized. Not content with merely refitting the yacht, the whole of the interior was completely redesigned so that she now features a luxurious owner’s cabin, two double guest cabins, a double crew cabin, two heads, a large dining lounge, and galley. Highest quality Sipo Mahogany was used for the interior, which gives off a rich, warm color, especially when the finish is done just right. In every detail the goal for the interior was to give her a truly classic look, referring to the time when she was first launched. With her newly refurbished wooden masts, rigging and new sails, Talisman 1920 is to all intents and purposes a brand new yacht and one, which will give her lucky owner many more years of pleasure.
